Tata Communications (India), a part of the USD 17.8bn Tata Group, has been the leading provider of International Telecoms and Value Added Services in India for over 135 years.
In India, the company was originally a government department known as the "Overseas Communication Service". In March 1986 this was incorporated as Tata Communications.
