Sunil Joshi has taken over as MD and CEO of Neotel (Pty) Ltd. Prior to joining Tata Communications in 2007, he was based in New Zealand and Australia for over 12 years, working in various capacities with IBM New Zealand Limited, IBM Australia Limited, and TelstraClear Limited where, as Head of Business Markets, he focused on sales, service, solutions, product development and marketing for the business segment. He has over 22 years of experience in the Information Technology and Telecommunications industry.
Sunil steps into his role with a set of the required skills that Neotel can leverage, having played an instrumental role in cross-leveraging Tata Communications’ resources across the world’s fastest growing markets as well as driving the group's Global Enterprise Solutions practice and earlier, its emerging markets strategy across Asia, Middle East, North Africa and India for both Carrier as well as Enterprise segments.
He holds an MBA and a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications together with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. Medical).

Steven Whiley, a qualified chartered accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, joined Neotel as its Chief Financial Officer in January 2012.
After few years of working in thebanking sector in London and New York, Steven returned to South Africa in 1996. Since then has worked at a Board level in a number of companies and industries including food manufacturing (Imana Foods), chicken farming (Rainbow Chickens) and retail of general merchandise (Games & Dion Stores).
Immediately prior to joining Neotel, Steven was the head of Finance of Peresys (Pty) Ltd. Peresys operates in the IT sector providing trading front ends to the Financial Markets trading listed instruments both locally and abroad. Steven was involved in Peresys for some 4 years, assisting in building this business to a point where with its overwhelming market share; Peresys became attractive to the international community. Steven was part of then negotiating team, which saw Peresys being sold to IRESS Market Technologies Limited, a company listed on the Austrialian stock exchange.

Ncala joined Neotel in June 2010 from MTN Group Limited where he was the Chief Information Officer heading up the information technology divisions across the continent of Africa. He has 12 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry. He has headed up the IT divisions of both MTN Swaziland and MTN Uganda between 1998 and 2009.
Ncala has ICT experience in both the telecoms and banking sectors.
Cohen joined Neotel from ICASA, where she was a Councillor from July 2004 until June 2008. At ICASA, she was assigned a portfolio that entailed specific projects on market access and competition, including interconnection, facilities leasing and developing the competition framework required by the Electronic Communications Act.
Her previous positions include teaching posts at Wits University in Johannesburg and research posts at Columbia University in New York City; the University of Toronto and the London School of Economics. She has worked as a regulatory consultant for domestic and international organizations including the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation (CTO).

Abid Qadiri joined Neotel as its Chief of Business Solutions and Excellence, in April 2012. Prior to joining Neotel, Abid was Vice President for Business Excellence at Tata Communications focused on business process improvement. Abid joined Tata Communications in 2005 responsible for leading product management in Global Managed Solutions for various product lines with specific focus on Managing Hosting and DC Services product portfolio. Prior to Tata Communications he was Head of Professional Services Practice for Orange Business Services in North America.
Abid brings more than 20 years of ICT industry experience in a global environment having worked in various leadership roles in product management, business and partner development, sales support and professional services and in markets across Asia Pacific, India, Middle East, Africa, North America and Europe for communications services providers such as Equant/Orange Business Services, Global One and Sprint.
